The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSHARC) and the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office have jointly announced a significant humanitarian initiative for Yemen. They will provide $10 million in aid to support critical relief efforts in the region.
This announcement occurred during the signing of a joint statement by Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Rabeeah, the advisor at the Royal Court and supervisor general of KSHARC, and Jennifer Chapman, the UK Minister of State for International Development and Africa. The signing took place at the third strategic dialogue on international development and humanitarian aid between Saudi Arabia and the United Kingdom, held in London.
According to the joint statement, both KSHARC and the UK government will contribute $10 million equally to support a collaborative project aimed at enhancing food security in Yemen. This initiative will take place in partnership with the World Food Programme (WFP), addressing the urgent needs of the Yemeni population.
This funding is part of Saudi Arabia’s broader humanitarian efforts, which the KSHARC implements to assist those in need, including refugees worldwide. The center continues to play a vital role in delivering essential aid and support to vulnerable communities.
