On Thursday evening, the Taiz Security Forces announced the arrest of a suspect, identified as (A.M.A), in connection with the murder of Captain Majid Amir Ahmed, a representative of the Criminal Investigation Department at Al-Thawra Hospital. Captain Ahmed was killed earlier that same day in the Musharrah and Hadnan District.
Colonel Jamil Al-Salahi, the head of the Criminal Investigation Department, stated that security forces acted swiftly upon receiving the report. A team from the forensic and investigative units promptly arrived at the crime scene. They conducted a thorough examination of the area and collected initial evidence and information.
Colonel Al-Salahi highlighted that the coordinated efforts between the Musharrah and Hadnan Police, led by Major Adam Abdu Said, and the Command and Control Administration alongside the Fifth Presidential Guard Brigade, resulted in the rapid identification and apprehension of the suspect shortly after the crime. The suspect is now in custody, awaiting further legal proceedings before being referred to the appropriate authorities.
The Taiz Police emphasized their unwavering commitment to maintaining security in the province. They will not tolerate any threats to the safety of citizens or law enforcement personnel. The police reiterated their dedication to pursuing wanted individuals and ensuring they face justice, thereby upholding security, stability, and the rule of law.
