Al-Mahra, Yemen – Today, Governor Mohammed Ali Yasser conducted an inspection of the readiness and conditions of the Al-Ghaydah military units. Accompanying him were First Deputy Governor Brigadier Dr. Mukhtar bin Owaid and the Governor’s Relations Officer, Mohammed Raefit.
During the visit, Governor Yasser highlighted the crucial role that the Al-Ghaydah military units play in various stages of national security. He stressed the importance of discipline and commitment in executing their missions. Furthermore, he called for enhanced cooperation and coordination among all units and forces to contribute to maintaining security and stability in the region.
Governor Yasser noted that Al-Mahra has its unique characteristics. He pointed out that the community’s ability to navigate recent challenges with minimal cost resulted from collective cooperation. The strong familial and social ties among the residents have played a significant role in this resilience.
Brigadier Abdullah Al-Jadhhi, commander of the National Shield Forces in the province, assured that his troops are fully prepared and ready to undertake any assigned missions. He acknowledged the incidents of looting that affected some military camps and mentioned ongoing efforts to account for the forces and equipment received, as well as to recover some of the stolen items. He reassured the public that Al-Mahra enjoys security and stability.
Meanwhile, Major General Salim Makbal, commander of the Al-Ghaydah military sector, reaffirmed the readiness of his units to fulfill their national duties alongside the National Shield Forces. He explained that the handover of sites and units to the National Shield Forces occurred smoothly, following directives from higher leadership.
This inspection underscores the commitment of local leadership to ensure the safety and security of Al-Mahra, fostering a collaborative environment among military and civilian sectors.
