The General Authority for Civil Aviation and Meteorology’s Weather Forecast and Early Warning Center predicts that coastal regions will experience mostly clear to partly cloudy skies today, Thursday. Temperatures will remain moderate, with a chance of light, scattered rain in Socotra Archipelago and the southern and southwestern coastal areas. Winds will be moderate, with increased activity along the southern, southwestern, and western coasts, as well as on Mayyun Island.
According to the daily weather report, which the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) received, the mountainous areas will remain dry and dusty. Daytime temperatures will be mild, while nights will turn very cold to extremely cold. The skies will range from clear to partly cloudy, with a possibility of fog forming in some areas during the night and early morning. Similarly, desert and plateau regions will see clear, dry, and dusty conditions, with moderate daytime temperatures and cold to very cold nights. Winds will vary from moderate to active, stirring up sand and dust.

The center urges citizens, especially the elderly and children in mountainous and desert areas, to take necessary precautions against the drop in temperatures during the night and early morning. Farmers, livestock breeders, and beekeepers should also prepare for the cold weather in the mountainous regions at night and in the early morning. They are encouraged to take protective measures for themselves and their properties.
In its daily marine report, the Weather Forecast and Early Warning Center anticipates that sea conditions along the coasts of Al-Mahra and Hadramout will remain calm. The coasts of Shabwa, western areas, and Socotra Archipelago will experience light to moderate waves. Meanwhile, the waters off Abyan, Aden, and Bab al-Mandab will see moderate waves. The regional waters in the Red Sea will also be light to moderate, while the Arabian Sea and Gulf of Aden will experience moderate waves.
The center warns fishermen and sea-goers along the southern and southwestern coasts, Bab al-Mandab, Mayyun Island, southern Socotra Archipelago, and regional waters in the Arabian Sea and western Gulf of Aden to be cautious of rough sea conditions.
