Tokyo, Japan – Today, Adil Al-Sanini, Yemen’s Ambassador to Japan, met with Toyama Ki, the Director-General for the Middle East and Europe at the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). The two officials explored ways to enhance and expand JICA’s projects and programs in Yemen.
During the meeting, both parties reviewed the ongoing projects and programs implemented by JICA in Yemen. They emphasized the importance of collaboration and coordination to develop a partnership that aligns with the Yemeni government’s efforts to normalize conditions in the country. This partnership also supports Japan’s initiatives aimed at fostering peace and stability through developmental and economic projects, as well as training programs.
Ambassador Al-Sanini expressed gratitude for the support provided by the Japanese government through JICA. He highlighted JICA’s vital role in various sectors within Yemen. The ambassador expressed hope that JICA’s plans for this year would address critical needs in health, education, electricity, road infrastructure, reconstruction, capacity building, vocational training, and support for the Coast Guard.
The discussions between Ambassador Al-Sanini and JICA’s Toyama Ki mark a significant step toward strengthening bilateral cooperation. As Yemen continues to navigate its challenges, the support from Japan remains crucial for the country’s development and stability.
