He began his education in local schools before moving to Djibouti with his father, where he completed his studies. Upon returning to Yemen, he initially worked as a construction laborer in Aden. However, his aspirations led him to Russia in 1980, where he earned a master’s degree in folk literature in 1985, followed by a Ph.D. in social science philosophy in 1990.

Dr. Sultan Al-Sarimi’s literary contributions include notable poetry collections such as “Alphabet of the Sea and Revolution,” “Rhythmic Concerns,” “Nashwan and the Sorrows of the Sun,” “And Said Al-Sarimi,” “Four Roses and a Poem,” “Coral Flower,” and “Whispers.” His works reflect his deep connection to his homeland and the struggles of its people.
