The Presidential Guard Brigade in Hadramout officially launched the first phase of its training and operational year for 2025 today. This event marks a significant step in enhancing the brigade’s readiness and capabilities.
The launch ceremony featured key military figures, including Brigadier General Saleh Haitham, head of the Engineering Corps of the Second Military Region, Brigadier General Salem Karama Al-Qurzi, commander of the Presidential Guard Brigade, and Colonel Murad Baqallah, commander of the Military Police Brigade. The event showcased a spectacular military display by a symbolic force from the Presidential Guard, demonstrating their high combat readiness and strength to carry out national missions. This display underscored their commitment to protecting the nation and safeguarding its achievements.
In his address, Brigadier General Al-Qurzi praised the brigade’s members, stating, “You have been the impenetrable fortress that secured the presidential delegations received in Mukalla during the past period. Your duties have been performed with efficiency and competence, and I extend my greetings and appreciation to you all.” He emphasized that the brigade serves as a pioneering military establishment and a strong shield for protecting leadership and securing national institutions. Additionally, he highlighted the brigade’s essential role in enhancing security and stability in Hadramout.
Brigadier General Al-Qurzi outlined that the first phase of the new training year includes diverse training programs aimed at developing the skills and capabilities of brigade members. These programs will provide them with modern knowledge and advanced concepts in military planning, presidential protection, and field operations. He noted that this phase also encompasses tactical and specialized training to boost combat readiness and professional efficiency, enabling the brigade to confront various challenges effectively. The brigade leadership is committed to making this training year exceptional in all aspects.
The commander expressed deep gratitude for the ongoing support from the Ministry of Defense, the local authority in Hadramout, and the leadership of the Second Military Region. He also thanked the Arab Coalition, led by Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, for their generous and continuous support to the brigade. He affirmed that this assistance plays a vital role in enhancing the military capabilities of the Presidential Guard Brigade and looks forward to continued collaboration to achieve shared goals and serve security and stability.
Following the speeches, a symbolic introductory display highlighted the operational capabilities of the weapons and military equipment used by the Presidential Guard Brigade. The showcase included various types of light, medium, and heavy weapons, encompassing both offensive and defensive armaments. This display effectively illustrated the brigade’s high combat readiness and the advanced techniques employed to enhance their security and defensive missions competently.
