On Thursday, Abdulrahman Sheikh, the Minister of State and Governor of Aden, met with the leadership of the Education Office in the province to address key issues affecting the educational process and the conditions of teachers.
The meeting included various stakeholders, such as the province’s deputies, and focused on several important topics. Notably, discussions centered on the collaboration with Saudi officials regarding the rehabilitation and reopening of the General Authority for School Book Printing.
During the meeting, participants emphasized the need to prioritize teachers’ access to medical care at Prince Mohammed bin Salman Hospital. Additionally, they agreed to work with relevant authorities to review the current curricula and develop new educational materials that meet contemporary requirements.
Governor Sheikh announced that the local authority approved an increase in the teacher incentive by 10,000 riyals. This adjustment aims to compensate for tax deductions and ensure that teachers receive the full incentive of 50,000 riyals. This decision reflects the local leadership’s commitment to improving teachers’ conditions and supporting the educational process.
Governor Sheikh encouraged teachers to intensify their efforts in delivering quality education. He also called for the launch of awareness initiatives among students, particularly regarding cleanliness. The campaign, titled “Aden First: I am a Muslim, I am Clean,” aims to promote hygiene in schools across all districts.
The meeting highlighted the local government’s dedication to enhancing educational standards and supporting teachers in Aden. By prioritizing teacher welfare and promoting cleanliness initiatives, the authorities aim to foster a better learning environment for students.
