The Russian Central Bank announced today a revision of key currency exchange rates against the ruble. This update reflects a decline in the value of the dollar and euro while showing an increase in the value of the Chinese yuan. These adjustments aim to stabilize the currency market amid ongoing international economic fluctuations.
According to official data, the Central Bank reduced the exchange rate of the U.S. dollar by 1.36 kopecks, bringing it to 78.0172 rubles. Similarly, the bank lowered the exchange rate of the euro by 13.25 kopecks, resulting in a new rate of 88.7602 rubles.
In contrast, the Central Bank raised the exchange rate of the Chinese yuan by 1.93 kopecks, which now stands at 11.5218 rubles. This increase highlights the yuan’s strengthening position in the current economic landscape.
These adjustments form part of the Russian Central Bank’s strategy to manage currency market balances. The bank aims to respond effectively to rising economic pressures and shifts in international trade dynamics.
