The Yemeni Network for Rights and Freedoms documented a total of 958 crimes and violations committed by the Iranian-backed Houthi militia from September 3 to September 11, 2026, in the western coast districts of Al Hudaydah and Taiz.

Widespread Violations Against Civilians and Property

The report confirmed that the violations included:

• Direct killings
• Injuries
• Arrests and abductions
• Raids and looting
• Forced displacement

Simultaneously, approximately 2,300 families were displaced from the western coast, a figure separate from the total documented crimes.

177 Direct Killings in Nine Days

According to the report, the militia committed:

• 38 killings by sniper fire
• 42 field executions of wounded armed forces members
• 53 executions of military prisoners
• 23 killings by random shelling
• 12 direct killings by militia gunfire
• 9 cases of run-over incidents by Houthi vehicles

The report noted that some wounded individuals were executed in front of their families and children, while others were killed inside health centers and hospitals.

212 Injuries and 39 Missing Persons

The network recorded 212 injuries of varying severity, including women and children, while 39 injured individuals remain missing, raising fears of enforced disappearance after their abduction from medical facilities.

213 Cases of Arrest and Abduction

The field team documented 213 cases of arrest and abduction in the western coast areas, coinciding with the militia establishing checkpoints and security barriers at the entrances to cities and regions under their control.

356 Facilities and Homes Raided and Looted

The report revealed that:

• 356 facilities and homes were raided and looted
• 11 government facilities were looted
• 37 homes were completely looted
• 282 homes were partially looted
• 30 vehicles and 17 motorcycles were confiscated

Theft at Al Mokha Port and Airport

The network documented extensive thefts at Al Mokha Port and Al Mokha Airport, which included electronic devices, equipment, documents, and various assets. Most of the stolen items were transported to San’a.

The militia also stole 8 vehicles from the United Nations humanitarian center in Al Mokha, disrupting humanitarian operations and complicating aid delivery to those in need.

The network called upon:

• The United Nations
• The Human Rights Council
• Human rights and humanitarian organizations

to take urgent action to protect civilians, ensure aid delivery, clarify the fate of the missing and forcibly disappeared, and conduct independent and transparent investigations to hold accountable those responsible for the violations. The network emphasized that impunity encourages further crimes and exacerbates the humanitarian cost of the conflict.
