The General Secretariat of the Organization of Arab Petroleum Exporting Countries (OAPEC) expressed its strong condemnation and denunciation of the attacks targeting the East-West oil pipeline in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. These attacks resulted in a temporary halt of operations along the pipeline and injured several individuals.
The organization affirmed its support for Saudi Arabia in all measures taken to protect its security, sovereignty, territorial integrity, and to safeguard its resources while ensuring the safety of citizens and residents.
OAPEC warned that targeting energy facilities and vital infrastructure threatens the security and stability of energy supplies. Such actions could have negative repercussions on energy markets and the global economy. The organization wished for a swift recovery for the injured.
