Spanish club FC Barcelona has officially reached an agreement with Egyptian forward Hamza Abdelkarim to extend his contract until June 30, 2030. This decision reflects the club’s confidence in the player’s talent and rapid development since joining the team.
According to the club’s official website, the signing ceremony will take place on September 15 at 5:00 PM (Central European Summer Time) in the office of club president Joan Laporta. Following the signing, Abdelkarim will participate in a media session at the club’s commercial office.
Hamza Abdelkarim joined Barcelona on loan on February 1, 2026. He made his debut with the under-19 team on March 8 against Huesca, where he scored in his first appearance.
The player netted nine goals in just six league matches, including a hat-trick in a significant nine-nil victory over Montecarlo, a match that secured Barcelona the honorary league title.
In the summer of 2026, Barcelona signed him on a permanent basis. He participated in the pre-season preparations under coach Hansi Flick, leading the scoring chart with four goals in friendly matches.
On August 31, 2026, he made his official debut with the first team against Rayo Vallecano at Spotify Camp Nou.
