On Monday, Governor Awad bin al-Wazir of Shabwa Province assessed the current state of the Al-Aqla oil sector in the Arma district. This visit highlights the local government’s commitment to revitalizing the region’s oil production capabilities.
During the visit, the governor met with Engineer Saleh Baawda, who oversees the restructuring of the oil sector. Baawda provided a comprehensive overview of ongoing efforts to restore the sector’s technical readiness. He emphasized the importance of maintaining modern engineering components and ensuring the operational capacity of production facilities.
Governor bin al-Wazir stressed the urgency of restarting operations at the oil field. He noted that effective investment in oil resources could significantly bolster the state treasury with foreign currency. This, in turn, would help the government address current economic challenges and fulfill its obligations to citizens.
The governor assured that local authorities would exert every effort to create a conducive environment for the oil sector’s revival. He emphasized collaboration with relevant agencies to enhance the overall economic landscape. This initiative aims to stimulate national economic growth and achieve new milestones in the improving economic front.
