Governor Nabil Shamsan of Taiz commended the widespread public and official response to the declaration of general mobilization. He highlighted the community initiatives and support convoys provided to the army and resistance forces. Shamsan emphasized that the collaboration between official and popular efforts forms the essential foundation for strengthening national resilience and protecting the republic, its institutions, and sovereignty.
During a field tour in the city of Turbah, Governor Shamsan noted that the general mobilization requires a strong and tangible presence from state institutions. He pointed out that while the armed forces, popular resistance, and tribes engage in battle against the Iranian project, the local authority fights to stabilize state institutions, protect the economy, secure services, and safeguard citizens’ lives.
Governor Shamsan assessed the conditions of citizens in Turbah and listened to their needs. He received detailed explanations from Abdulaziz Al-Shaibani, the Director General of Al-Shamayatayn District, and Brigadier General Jamil Aqlan, the commander of special forces in the governorate, regarding the security measures and plans implemented to secure the city and surrounding districts.
The governor praised the heroic role and significant sacrifices made by the army, security forces, and popular resistance, as well as all those stationed at the fronts in the Hajour area and various fronts across the governorate. He affirmed that everyone appreciates these efforts in confronting the Houthi terrorist militias, praying for mercy for the martyrs and a swift recovery for the wounded.
Shamsan asserted that the responsibilities of security institutions extend beyond field duties. They must also protect the internal front, enhance stability, prevent security breaches, and responsibly address rumors and misleading information to safeguard the community and state institutions. He stressed the importance of raising readiness levels and enhancing coordination, working as a unified team to ensure prompt responses and efficient performance.
Governor Shamsan highlighted that the local authority remains present in the field, taking on responsibilities under the most challenging circumstances to share the people’s resilience. He affirmed that offices will not serve as barriers between officials and citizens or the heroes on the front lines. He stated that the state, under the leadership of Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, the Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, is actively involved in the details of the battle, providing all necessary support to the fronts.
