The match featured exciting twists and significant offensive rivalry between both teams. Portuguese player João Cancelo opened the scoring early in the thirteenth minute. However, Danish midfielder Mikkel Damsgaard quickly equalized in the twenty-third minute. Just two minutes later, Gonçalo Ramos restored Portugal’s lead with a second goal in the twenty-fifth minute.
In the second half, Denmark fought back again through star player Rasmus Højlund, who scored the second equalizer in the fifty-third minute. Nevertheless, Portugal sealed the match with a strong offensive display. Vitinha netted the third goal in the sixty-seventh minute, and substitute João Félix capped off the scoring with the fourth goal in the eighty-seventh minute.
