Engineering teams from the Armed Forces in the Sixth Military Region are actively conducting surveys and removing mines and explosive devices in areas secured during the first phase of the military operation in Al-Jawf Governorate.
A military source confirmed to the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) that the engineering teams began their work after the forces successfully achieved the objectives of the first phase. The source noted that the Houthi terrorist militias had planted large quantities of mines and explosive devices along roads, sites, and pathways, aiming to hinder the forces’ advance and threaten the lives of civilians and military personnel.
The source stated, “The engineering clearance operation coincides with the forces solidifying their positions and securing the liberated areas, preparing for the safe return of movement.” The source emphasized that the engineering teams handle mines and explosive devices according to precise technical procedures to protect the lives of citizens and military personnel.
The source added, “The Armed Forces continue to execute their tasks according to the established military plans, prioritizing the security of liberated areas and the protection of civilians.” The source praised the efforts of the engineering teams in eliminating the dangers left by the Houthi terrorist militias.
