Strengthening Military Cooperation: A Meeting Between Yemen and the UK

Riyadh, Saudi Arabia – Today, Major General Saqr bin Aziz, Chief of General Staff and Commander of Joint Operations, met with Admiral Edward Graham, the UK’s Senior Military Advisor for the Middle East and North Africa. This meeting focused on enhancing military cooperation between Yemen and the United Kingdom.

Key Discussions at the Global Defense Exhibition

The discussions took place during the third edition of the Global Defense Exhibition in Riyadh. Both leaders reviewed the current military and field conditions, emphasizing the importance of strengthening bilateral cooperation in defense training and qualification. They also addressed international efforts to secure maritime navigation and support regional stability.

Acknowledging British Support

Major General bin Aziz praised the UK’s role in supporting Yemen’s legitimate government and military institutions. He highlighted the significance of exchanging military expertise to tackle shared security threats and challenges.
