Marib Governor, Major General Sultan al-Arada, has successfully concluded the second phase of a street lighting project in Marib City. This initiative, funded by the local authority, coincides with the celebration of the 57th anniversary of national independence on November 30.
The second phase of the project focused on illuminating the southern entrance of Marib City, along with several main and secondary streets. The project utilized high-efficiency lighting systems to ensure sustainability and reduce energy consumption.
During a field visit to inspect the newly lit streets, Governor al-Arada emphasized the significance of this project. He stated that it enhances the urban and aesthetic appeal of the city while reflecting the level of development in infrastructure and essential services. This improvement aligns with the rapid urban expansion and population growth in the governorate.
Governor al-Arada highlighted that this project aims to bolster development and improve services. It also seeks to complete infrastructure projects that support economic activities and meet the needs of citizens, contributing to sustainable development in the region.
He praised the efforts of the technical teams for executing the project on schedule. Furthermore, he stressed the importance of adhering to the highest quality standards in project implementation to ensure the long-term sustainability of the services provided.
The governor reaffirmed his commitment to ongoing efforts that align with the strategic plan for developing services. He aims to establish developmental and service projects across all areas to meet community needs and foster comprehensive, sustainable development.
This initiative marks a significant step forward for Marib City, underscoring the local government’s dedication to enhancing the quality of life for its residents.
