A meeting convened today in Aden, the temporary capital, under the leadership of Minister of Youth and Sports Naif Al-Bakri. The gathering focused on the achievements made under the National Youth Empowerment Plan, known as "Tamkeen."
Minister Al-Bakri commended the hard work of the Youth Working Group. Their efforts in organizing and preparing for the launch of the plan were evident. He highlighted the active participation of both official and unofficial entities, as well as international partners. Al-Bakri emphasized that this plan represents a national priority, requiring collective efforts for success. He noted that it serves as a pathway to enhance youth participation, understand their realities, and address the challenges they face, ultimately aiming for comprehensive development and a brighter future.
The Minister urged all stakeholders to recognize their responsibilities in this national mission. He stressed the importance of coordinating with relevant government bodies and international partners, particularly UNICEF and the United Nations Population Fund. Al-Bakri called for the swift organization of a donors’ conference, which he described as a cornerstone for implementing the plan. This conference will play a crucial role in addressing the challenges and issues that Yemeni youth encounter, helping to elevate their aspirations and achieve desired goals.
