Today, the Republic of Yemen participated in the coordination meeting for the Arab-European dialogue. The Yemeni delegation was led by Dr. Ali Mousa, the acting permanent representative of Yemen to the Arab League.
During the meeting, permanent representatives at the Arab League discussed preparations for the tenth meeting with ambassadors from the European Union’s Political and Security Committee. This significant event is scheduled to take place in Brussels on June 19.
The Political Affairs Sector of the Arab League’s General Secretariat presented the latest updates regarding the preparations for these meetings. Additionally, representatives discussed the joint statement that is set to be approved.
The first meeting between the permanent representatives of the Arab League and the ambassadors of the Political and Security Committee occurred on September 30, 2012. These meetings primarily aim to deepen relations between Arab nations and European Union countries. They also facilitate the exchange of views and perspectives, ultimately enhancing cooperation mechanisms and fostering strategic partnerships between the Arab world and Europe.
