The Republic of Yemen recently joined a training program focused on integrating the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) youth strategy into the national programs of member states. This event took place in Ankara, Turkey.
Dr. Munir Lam’a, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Youth and Sports for Youth Affairs, represented Yemen at the program. The training brought together officials from youth and sports ministries across OIC member countries. Participants engaged in discussions about effective youth strategies and identified priority areas that can foster innovation, creativity, and the exchange of leadership experiences among young people.
The program emphasized the importance of establishing connections to integrate the OIC youth strategy across all member states. It aimed to enhance roles in various sectors, including communication, higher education, health, labor markets, social inclusion, science, environment, and cultural challenges. Additionally, the training explored future partnerships and joint initiatives aimed at empowering and developing youth.
By participating in this program, Yemen aims to strengthen its national youth policies and contribute to the broader goals of the OIC in fostering youth development across member states.
