Yemen Participates in the 12th Forum of the Arab Constitutional Courts Union

On Friday, the Republic of Yemen participated in the 12th Forum of the Arab Constitutional Courts Union held in Rabat, Morocco. The forum focused on the theme, “The Impact of Constitutional Judgments in Comparative Constitutional Systems.” The Yemeni delegation was led by Dr. Ali Al-Awsh, the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court.

Discussions on Constitutional Judiciary

The forum brought together heads of Arab constitutional and supreme courts to discuss various experiences in constitutional judiciary across the Arab world. Participants examined research papers addressing the authority and implications of constitutional rulings. These discussions highlighted the role of constitutional judgments in protecting rights and freedoms, balancing public authorities, and safeguarding community rights.

Yemen’s Contributions to Constitutional Law

During the forum, Dr. Ali Al-Awsh presented a working paper that outlined Yemen’s experience in constitutional law, both legislatively and practically.
