The Yemeni Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates has expressed strong condemnation of the recent aggressive actions taken by the Iranian regime. These actions include attempts to target oil and gas infrastructure in Saudi Arabia and other Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries. Such acts represent a blatant violation of international law and a direct assault on the sovereignty, security, and stability of these nations.
In an official statement, the ministry emphasized that attacking vital energy facilities poses a significant threat not only to the national security of neighboring countries but also escalates risks to global energy security, supply chains, and economic stability. The potential consequences of these actions could lead to catastrophic impacts on regional security and the well-being of its people.
The Yemeni government reaffirmed its full solidarity with Saudi Arabia and other GCC nations. It expressed unwavering support for their legitimate right to take all necessary measures to protect their security, sovereignty, and critical infrastructure in accordance with international law and the United Nations Charter.
The ministry highlighted Yemen’s long-standing suffering from the Iranian regime’s aggressive behavior and destructive interventions. It warned that continued tolerance of such actions could destabilize both regional and international security, plunging the area into ongoing crises.
Furthermore, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs urged the international community and the United Nations Security Council to fulfill their legal and moral responsibilities. It called for decisive actions to deter the Iranian regime and to put an end to its destabilizing interventions that threaten regional peace and security.
Yemen’s strong stance against Iranian aggression underscores the urgent need for collective international action to safeguard regional stability and uphold the principles of international law. The call for unity and decisive measures reflects a commitment to protecting the interests of the people in the region.
