On Wednesday, Judge Akram Nasib Ahmed Al-Amri took the oath of office as the Minister of Civil Service and Insurance, along with Salem Abubakr Mohammed Thabet Al-Awlaki, who was appointed as the Minister of Information, and Ahmed Saleh Ahmed Al-Awlaki, who became the Minister of Local Administration. The ceremony took place in front of His Excellency President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council.

The President emphasized that the involvement of young ministers in these roles represents a significant test for integrating young talents into the leadership of state institutions. He noted the importance of driving necessary transformations during these exceptional circumstances in the country’s history.
President Alimi urged the ministers to work collaboratively with the Prime Minister and other government members. He stressed the need for coordinated efforts among their ministries to serve citizens effectively. The President highlighted that the government’s success should be measured by the tangible improvements citizens experience in services, the speed of transaction processing, and responsiveness to their grievances.
The President directed the Minister of Civil Service and Insurance to advance the administrative reform program. He called for updating the employment database, enhancing oversight and inspection, and addressing issues of dual employment and fictitious names in coordination with the Ministry of Finance and regulatory bodies.
In his directives to the Minister of Information, President Alimi underscored the importance of revitalizing the national media system. He stated that the media should play a central role in the battle to restore state institutions and confront the Houthi terrorist militias. The President emphasized the official media’s role in clarifying the state’s position to both domestic and international audiences, correcting misleading narratives, combating rumors, and providing timely, reliable information.
The President instructed the Minister of Local Administration to strengthen the responsible relationship between the government and local authorities. He emphasized the need for regular communication with executive authority levels and addressing stalled issues in coordination with relevant ministries. The President also highlighted the importance of developing local resources and assisting provinces and districts in fulfilling their responsibilities to provide essential services to citizens. He called for enhancing resilience against the destructive front project supported by the Iranian regime.
Dr. Yahya Al-Shaibi, Director of the Presidential Office, attended the meeting.
