The local authority, popular resistance, and various political and social components in Ibb Governorate have expressed their full support for the armed forces and popular resistance in the “Yemen Dawn” operation. This initiative aims to restore state institutions, assert sovereignty over the entire national territory, and end the rebellion of the Houthi terrorist militias.
In a statement issued during a joint event, the participants condemned the international silence regarding the violations committed by the Houthi militias against the people of Taiz Governorate. They emphasized that the ongoing siege imposed on the city for years, along with the prevention of essential supplies, threatens to create a humanitarian and environmental disaster. They called for an urgent break of the siege and alleviation of the suffering of its residents.
The statement also condemned the Houthi attacks on the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, particularly targeting civilian and economic sites and Islamic sanctities. It affirmed complete solidarity with the Kingdom, stating that its security and stability represent a part of Yemen’s security and stability.
During the event, Ibb Governor Omar Al-Kamil and the head of the Supreme Council for Resistance in the governorate, Sheikh Abdul Wahid Haidar, asserted that the “Yemen Dawn” operation reflects a firm political will to end the suffering of Yemenis, restore state institutions, enhance security and stability, and resume services, including salary payments and development efforts.
Al-Kamil and Haidar urged residents in areas under militia control to protect their children from recruitment and involvement in militia battles. They stressed the importance of national unity and supporting the armed forces and popular resistance to complete the mission of restoring the state.
They praised the heroism displayed by the armed forces and popular resistance across various fronts, appreciating the support provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the Yemeni government, armed forces, and people in the battle to restore state institutions and end the Houthi terrorist coup.
