The Embassy of the Republic of Yemen in Kuala Lumpur has opened a register to receive condolences following the passing of a national hero and prominent figure, Ali Salem Al-Baidh. He served as the Vice President of the Presidential Council and was a former Secretary-General of the Central Committee of the Yemeni Socialist Party.
During the condolence ceremony, Dr. Adel Bahamid, Yemen’s Ambassador to Malaysia, welcomed several ambassadors, chargé d’affaires, and representatives from various diplomatic missions accredited in Malaysia. Additionally, many members of the Yemeni community attended to express their condolences and support during this significant loss.
Attendees conveyed their heartfelt condolences to the leadership, government, and people of the Republic of Yemen. They reflected on Al-Baidh’s national legacy, highlighting his prominent role in the struggle for Yemen’s progress. His contributions to the national movement and his impactful presence during pivotal moments in Yemen’s contemporary history were particularly noted.
This gathering not only commemorated Al-Baidh’s life but also reinforced the bonds within the Yemeni community and the international diplomatic corps in Malaysia.
