The Leadership Council affirms the continuation of the “Yemen Dawn” operation until all its objectives are achieved.

Presidential Leadership Council Holds Meeting to Address Local Developments

On Monday, the Presidential Leadership Council convened a meeting led by His Excellency President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Alimi, with all members in attendance, including Sultan Al-Aradah, Tariq Saleh, Abdulrahman Al-Mahrimi, Dr. Abdullah Alimi, Othman Majali, Mahmoud Al-Sabahi, and Salem Al-Khanbashi.

Discussion on Military Escalation by Houthi Militias

The meeting focused on local developments, particularly the military escalation by Houthi terrorist militias. This includes missile and drone attacks on state institutions and civilian facilities, as well as their expansion of assaults on cities and villages. The meeting highlighted the ongoing siege of Taiz city, the bombardment of residential neighborhoods, and attacks on civilian sites in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, alongside threats to maritime routes and international navigation.

Updates on Military Operations and Humanitarian Efforts

The council received a briefing from the President regarding the outcomes of his communications and consultations with various regional and international leaders. They discussed coordinating urgent responses to the humanitarian crisis, supporting state institutions, halting the flow of weapons to the militias, and ensuring the security of Yemen and the region.

Additionally, the meeting reviewed field reports on military operations across various fronts. The armed forces and popular resistance, with significant support from the Coalition to Support Legitimacy, have made advances in Al-Jawf, Marib, and the western coast as part of the “Dawn of Yemen” operation, while demonstrating remarkable resilience in Taiz.

Acknowledgment of Armed Forces and Support from Saudi Arabia

The council commended the bravery and capability of the armed forces, security forces, and all military formations in countering the Houthi escalation, inflicting heavy losses on them. They emphasized that this resilience would not have been possible without the steadfast support from their brothers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The council expressed condolences for the martyrs from the armed forces and all military formations, wishing a swift recovery for the injured. They directed relevant authorities to continue caring for the families of the martyrs and to provide necessary treatment and support for the wounded, considering this a constitutional and moral duty that should not be delayed.

Gratitude for Saudi Support

In this context, the Presidential Leadership Council reiterated its sincere gratitude to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, under the leadership of King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, for their comprehensive support to the Yemeni people. They acknowledged the Kingdom’s prompt response to the needs of Taiz and other governorates through the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center, the Saudi Program for Development and Reconstruction of Yemen, and other Saudi initiatives.

Commitment to the “Dawn of Yemen” Operation

The council reaffirmed its commitment to continue the “Dawn of Yemen” operation until all its objectives are achieved, including ending the coup, restoring institutions, and asserting state authority across all territories.

Call to Citizens in Houthi-Controlled Areas

The council urged citizens in areas under Houthi control to refrain from involving their children in senseless conflicts and to reject cooperation with the militias’ military and security activities. They emphasized the importance of protecting their children from recruitment and urged those who abandon arms and cease fighting alongside the terrorist militias to take advantage of the open door for safe return, in accordance with the announced procedures.

Support for Displaced Persons

The council praised the efforts of the government, local authorities, and host communities across various governorates in receiving and supporting displaced persons. They acknowledged the importance of enhancing support for these efforts, ensuring the provision of food, water, medicine, and shelter, and facilitating the delivery of aid to those in need.
