Military Readiness and Morale Highlighted by Yemeni Parliament Speaker

In a recent visit to the Second Marine Brigade on the western coast of Yemen, Sheikh Sultan al-Barakani, the Speaker of the Yemeni Parliament, praised the military discipline, combat readiness, and high morale of the armed forces. He emphasized their full commitment to continue the fight for state restoration and to defeat the Iranian expansionist agenda, represented by the Iranian-backed Houthi militia.

Visit to the Second Marine Brigade

On Thursday, al-Barakani inspected the Second Marine Brigade to assess its efforts in securing Yemen’s coasts and territorial waters in the Red Sea. During his visit, he conveyed the congratulations and best wishes of Dr. Rashad al-Alimi, the President of the Presidential Leadership Council, and other council members to the fighters in celebration of Eid al-Fitr. He commended their dedication to serving their country and expressed optimism that Yemen would soon witness relief thanks to their struggle and that of their comrades on the front lines.

Acknowledging Achievements and Challenges

Al-Barakani highlighted the fighters’ achievements in breaking through enemy barriers and reaching the city of Al-Hudaydah, attributing their progress to the efforts of the military leadership. He criticized the detrimental Stockholm Agreement, which he believes hindered their advance. Additionally, he recognized the contributions of Tariq Saleh, a member of the Presidential Leadership Council, in building military institutions and establishing infrastructure projects in the liberated areas of Al-Hudaydah and Taiz.

Call for Resilience and Unity

In his remarks, al-Barakani urged the fighters to remain patient and steadfast, assuring them that they would restore Yemen’s historical standing among nations. He expressed his joy in spending the Eid holiday with the troops on the western coast, who represent the hopes of all Yemenis in their quest to reach the capital, Sana’a, and cleanse it of the Houthi militia’s influence.

This visit underscores the ongoing commitment of Yemen’s leadership to support its armed forces in their critical mission to secure the nation’s future.
