The Saudi national football team claimed the title of the Gulf Arab Cup (Gulf 27) for the fourth time in its history. The team secured victory against the United Arab Emirates with a score of two goals to none in the final match held at the King Abdullah Sports City in Jeddah.
Saudi players Hemam Al-Hemami scored the first goal in the 11th minute, followed closely by Firas Al-Buraikan, who netted the second goal in the 13th minute. This strong start allowed the “Green” team to conclude their campaign with the championship trophy.
Following the match, an award ceremony took place amidst a festive atmosphere, with an audience of 62,827 fans in attendance. The excitement among the crowd highlighted the significance of the victory.
Saudi goalkeeper Mohammed Al-Owais received the award for Best Goalkeeper of the tournament. Additionally, striker Firas Al-Buraikan earned the title of Top Scorer. National team player Adel Abbas was recognized as the Best Young Player of the tournament.
