On Thursday, Prime Minister Dr. Sha’if Mohsen Al-Zandani hosted U.S. Ambassador to Yemen, Stephen Fagin, along with a delegation from the U.S. Department of State. The meeting focused on enhancing cooperation between the two nations across various sectors.
At the beginning of the meeting, the Prime Minister warmly welcomed Ambassador Fagin and his team. He emphasized the Yemeni government’s commitment to developing a robust bilateral partnership that aligns with mutual interests and supports efforts to stabilize Yemen.
The Prime Minister expressed gratitude for the assistance the United States provides to Yemen, particularly in economic and humanitarian areas. He acknowledged U.S. support for state institutions and efforts to restore stability. Furthermore, he praised American actions that bolster the Yemeni government in its fight against threats posed by the Houthis and terrorist groups.
The Prime Minister underscored the necessity of continued coordination and joint efforts to support economic reforms, improve essential services, and alleviate humanitarian suffering. He reiterated that such collaboration is vital for Yemen’s path toward recovery and stability.
