The General Secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) condemned the heinous attacks launched by Houthi militias against Mecca and the Medina region. The organization emphasized that the ongoing Houthi aggression against the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia represents a terrorization of the innocent and a blatant violation of the sanctity of holy sites, provoking the feelings of Muslims worldwide.
The OIC stated that the militia’s actions targeting mosques, sacred sites, and civilian properties constitute terrorism that contradicts Islamic values, norms, principles, and international laws. The organization stressed that violating the sanctity of holy sites is an unacceptable transgression that requires holding the perpetrators accountable and preventing anyone from attempting to harm them.
The General Secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation reaffirmed its full solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It expressed support for all measures taken by the Kingdom to deter the terrorism of aggressors, safeguard the sanctity of holy sites, protect the lives of Muslims, and ensure its security and sovereignty.
