During the discussion, the Prime Minister outlined the government’s immediate priorities, particularly in the economic and service sectors. Key issues included stabilizing electricity supply and halting the decline of the national currency. The Prime Minister also presented the Economic Recovery Plan for 2025-2026 and discussed potential support from the UAE in these areas. Additionally, they exchanged views on the latest developments at local, regional, and international levels.
The Prime Minister praised the UAE’s ongoing support for Yemen and its people during challenging times. He highlighted the UAE’s active participation in the Saudi-led coalition to support legitimacy in Yemen. The Prime Minister emphasized the UAE’s commitment to assisting the Yemeni government in addressing urgent economic and service-related priorities. He also acknowledged the UAE’s humanitarian, developmental, and service interventions alongside Saudi Arabia.
In response, Ambassador Al Zaabi congratulated the Prime Minister on his appointment to lead the Yemeni government during these extraordinary circumstances. He reaffirmed the UAE’s commitment to supporting initiatives that benefit the Yemeni people and assisting the government in effectively responding to economic, service, and humanitarian challenges.
This meeting underscores the strong ties between Yemen and the UAE, highlighting their collaborative efforts to address pressing issues and improve the lives of Yemeni citizens.
