The National Resistance reveals details of an advanced Iranian shipment en route to the Houthis, escalating threats to regional and global security.

National Resistance Foils Iranian Arms Shipment to Houthi Militias

During a press conference in the city of Al-Mokha, the National Resistance announced the successful interception of an advanced Iranian arms shipment intended for the Houthi terrorist group. This intelligence operation took place on June 27 and marks a significant achievement for the Yemeni government. Brigadier General Sadiq Dweid, spokesperson for the National Resistance, emphasized that this seizure raises alarms about the expanding Iranian threat in Yemen and the broader region.

Details of the Seized Weapons

The intercepted shipment contained a variety of advanced military components, including:

  • Components for 12 missiles, featuring naval, ground-to-ground, and air defense systems.
  • Missile warheads and parts labeled “Qadr 380,” “Tair 3,” “Ghadir,” “Somar 10,” “Qassem,” and “Ya Ali.”
  • Suicide and reconnaissance drones, including models like “Miraj 532” and “Draon FPT.”
  • Laser and chemical equipment, military binoculars, and parts for AM-50 sniper rifles.

Debunking Houthi Claims of Local Manufacturing

Brigadier General Dweid compared the seized equipment to the weapons that the Houthis claim to manufacture locally. He confirmed that the intercepted arms match advanced Iranian systems, effectively disproving the Houthi narrative of “self-sufficiency” in weapon production.

Discovery of Israeli Spy Devices

The operation also uncovered a spying device from the Israeli company “Silberit,” along with surveillance cameras and lie detection equipment included in the shipment.

Smuggling Route and Organizational Network

The National Resistance revealed that the militias attempted to disguise the shipment within civilian electrical materials. This interception marks the 13th operation linked to a smuggling network managed by the designated terrorist leader, Mohammed Ahmed Al-Talabi, known as “Abu Jaafar.”

Serious Warnings Ahead

Authorities have received credible information indicating that the militias, in collaboration with Iran, are working to develop biological weapons that pose a threat to regional and international security. This situation necessitates urgent action to mitigate these risks.

The National Resistance’s successful operation highlights the ongoing challenges posed by Iranian influence in the region and underscores the need for vigilance in addressing these threats.
