On Sunday, the Minister of Electricity and Energy, Adnan Al-Kaf, and the Minister of State and Governor of Aden, Abdul Rahman Sheikh, inaugurated the solar energy and air conditioning system at the medical center in Al-Salam Village, located in the temporary capital of Aden.
Al-Kaf and Sheikh reviewed the components of the system and assessed its readiness. They listened to an explanation regarding its role in supplying the medical center with electrical power and air conditioning. This initiative aims to enhance the working environment and improve the medical services provided to beneficiaries.
Both ministers praised the charitable and humanitarian efforts that led to the support of the center with this system. They emphasized the significance of such initiatives in promoting the sustainability of services for the most vulnerable groups. Additionally, they highlighted how this support enables the center to fulfill its medical and humanitarian roles more effectively.
In this context, the Minister of Electricity and the Minister of State and Governor of Aden also reviewed the progress of the second phase of the Al-Salam Village project. This phase includes the construction of ten residential buildings, totaling 120 apartments, along with various attached facilities and services. These include a park with children’s play areas, a school, a vocational training center, and water wells, all designed according to approved technical and engineering specifications.
Al-Kaf and Sheikh commended the level of achievement in the project and the efforts made in implementing its components. They recognized the project as a model for residential and social initiatives that address the needs of beneficiary families, providing them with a comprehensive living and service environment. They also appreciated the support from benefactors in Kuwait and Gulf countries, highlighting their humanitarian stance towards the people of Aden.
