President Alimi Engages with Leadership on Security and Humanitarian Efforts

On Sunday, President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Alimi, the Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council and Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, conducted communications with members of the Presidential Leadership Council, including Lieutenant General Sultan Al-Arada, Lieutenant General Mahmoud Al-Sabihi, Salem Al-Khanbashi, Prime Minister Dr. Shae’ Al-Zandani, and Commander of the Fourth Military Region, Major General Hamdi Shukri. The discussions focused on the latest developments in the military, security, service, and humanitarian situations, as well as the state institutions’ responses to the escalation of Houthi terrorist activities.

Updates on Military Operations and Readiness

During these communications, President Alimi received briefings on the progress of operations across various fronts and sectors. He inquired about the combat readiness, operational support, and logistical backing for the armed forces and security agencies, along with the overall security, service, and humanitarian conditions. The discussions also addressed measures taken to protect civilians and displaced individuals affected by the Iranian-backed Houthi militias.

Acknowledgment of Military Efforts

The President praised the bravery of the armed forces and security personnel stationed at different fronts, highlighting their heroism and sacrifices in the critical battle against the Houthi terrorist militias. He specifically commended the effective role of the air force and drone operations, which support ground forces, deter threats, and target the military capabilities of the militias in accordance with established engagement rules and professional standards.

Commitment to National Goals

President Alimi expressed appreciation for the operations conducted by the armed forces in Marib, Al-Jawf, Taiz, Al-Bayda, Al-Dhale, and various other fronts. These efforts aim to restore state institutions, end the Houthi coup, and fulfill the Yemeni people’s aspirations for security, stability, and development. He emphasized that the course of major national battles does not depend on transient changes in confrontation lines or isolated gains but is determined by the strength of will, unity of purpose, and the ability to learn from challenges and turn them into opportunities for building greater strength and cohesion.

The President affirmed that the state’s direction remains clear and steadfast towards restoring its institutions and asserting sovereignty over all national territory. He stated that any transient field developments would not alter this reality or diminish the Yemeni people’s and their armed forces’ capacity to accomplish this mission with resilience and competence.

Reflection on Houthi Actions

President Alimi noted that the Houthi militias seem not to have learned from their coup against national consensus and the will of the Yemeni people. They mistakenly believed that force and weaponry could create a lasting reality, only to face the resurgence of the state and its national forces, which have pushed back their divisive project from Aden and other cities.

Support for Displaced Families

The President commended the responsible role of local authorities in the liberated provinces and their collaborative efforts with local communities to welcome and shelter families displaced from conflict areas. He emphasized that the solidarity and support shown by citizens towards their displaced brothers reflect the authentic values of the Yemeni people and the spirit of national unity in facing adversities and challenges.

Call for Enhanced Humanitarian Response

President Alimi directed the government and local authorities to continue strengthening these efforts and coordinate responses with humanitarian organizations and regional and international partners. The President asserted that the strength of the state at this stage lies in the integration of its military, security, political, economic, and service fronts. He stressed that the continuity of institutions in fulfilling their responsibilities, regardless of challenges, is crucial. Protecting citizens’ lives and livelihoods, alongside supporting the armed forces and regaining the initiative, represents a national priority that cannot be delayed.

President Alimi extended his condolences to the souls of the martyrs from the armed forces and security, wishing a swift recovery for the injured and directing continued care for the families of the martyrs. He emphasized the need to provide the best treatment and care for the wounded and to fulfill their rights as a constitutional and moral obligation.
