Minister of Public Works Urges Readiness for Rainfall in Liberated Provinces

Government Takes Proactive Measures

Today, Minister of Public Works and Roads, Engineer Hussein Al-Aqrobi, directed ministry offices across various liberated provinces, along with the Road Maintenance Fund and the General Authority for Roads and Bridges, to enhance their preparedness for the anticipated rainfall affecting several areas.

These directives follow the close monitoring by Prime Minister Dr. Sha’if Al-Zandani, reflecting the government’s commitment to mitigate damage from weather fluctuations and improve field response efforts.

Emergency Preparedness and Infrastructure Maintenance

Al-Aqrobi emphasized the importance of implementing all necessary precautionary measures to address the impacts of rain and flooding. This includes intensifying emergency maintenance work, clearing drainage systems, and addressing any damage to infrastructure. These actions aim to ensure smooth traffic flow and the safety of road users.

Coordination and Reporting

The Minister highlighted the need for continuous coordination with local authorities and relevant agencies. He urged swift responses to any emergencies and called for regular reports on readiness levels and the actions taken.

The ministry will continuously monitor weather developments and mobilize all available resources to ensure road safety and the continuity of services in the liberated provinces.
