Minister Praises Security Efforts in Taiz

The Minister of Information, Culture, and Tourism, Muammar Al-Eryani, commended the significant efforts of the High Security Committee in Taiz Governorate. Under the leadership of Governor Nabil Shamsan and the military axis, various security and military units have collaborated in a joint security campaign in the Al-Shamaytin district. This initiative aims to establish security and stability while countering threats posed by Houthi terrorist militias.

Successful Preemptive Strike

In a recent press statement, Minister Al-Eryani highlighted the campaign’s success in achieving a notable security milestone. The operation delivered a preemptive blow to a dangerous sabotage plan orchestrated by terrorist elements directly coordinated by Houthi militias. These groups are implicated in several serious crimes, including the assassination of UN employee Muayyad Hamidi in Al-Turbah city in July 2023.

Arrests and Seizures

The operation resulted in the arrest of several involved individuals, along with the seizure of weapons, explosives, and bomb-laden vehicles. These materials were intended for terrorist operations targeting security, military, and civilian leaders, as well as government facilities in Taiz and other liberated governorates.

Exposing Houthi Coordination

Al-Eryani pointed out that this significant security achievement exposes the level of coordination between Houthi militias and terrorist organizations. It also underscores the vigilance of security and military agencies and the effectiveness of operational coordination under the supervision of the High Security Committee in the governorate.

The Minister emphasized that the state’s capabilities have strengthened in addressing chaos and sabotage. He reassured citizens that any attempts to undermine their security and stability will be met with decisive action. Despite facing serious challenges, Taiz remains resolute in restoring its security and stability, ensuring it will never become a haven for terrorism or chaos.
