On Thursday, Abdulrahman Sheikh, the Minister of State and Governor of Aden, launched the distribution of five thousand food baskets to displaced families in the Aden and Lahij governorates. This initiative responds to the military escalation by Houthi terrorist militias and receives support from the Civil Affairs Relief Program of the Joint Forces, with implementation by the Sky Water Foundation.
During the launch event, Governor Sheikh emphasized the local authority’s commitment to monitoring the conditions of displaced families and addressing their humanitarian needs. He highlighted the responsibility to support the most vulnerable groups and assist them in coping with the burdens resulting from displacement.
Governor Sheikh praised the humanitarian support provided by the Civil Affairs Relief Program of the Joint Forces. He stressed the importance of ongoing coordination and collaboration among supporting entities, implementing organizations, and local authorities. This cooperation aims to expand the scope of relief interventions and ensure that assistance reaches deserving families based on their actual needs.
