The U.S. dollar regained its footing during Asian trading today after the Federal Reserve decided to keep interest rates unchanged. This decision left markets anticipating how the Fed will resolve internal disagreements regarding interest rate policies.
The dollar index, which measures the performance of the U.S. dollar against six major currencies, increased by 0.1%, reaching 100.93 points. In contrast, the British pound fell by 0.2%, trading at $1.3347 ahead of the Bank of England’s interest rate decision.
The Australian dollar remained steady at $0.6953, while the New Zealand dollar saw a slight increase of 0.2%, rising to $0.5809. Meanwhile, the Japanese yen held firm at 163.465 yen per dollar.
