In a significant meeting held today in the temporary capital of Aden, Minister of Defense Lieutenant General Mohsen Al-Dhaari convened with the leadership of the Taiz Axis and its affiliated units. The discussion focused on the latest developments on the battlefield and the current status of combat fronts in the Taiz governorate.
During the meeting, Minister Al-Dhaari received a comprehensive briefing from Major General Khaled Fadel, the head of the Taiz Axis, along with military unit leaders. They outlined the progress of combat operations and the needs of the forces stationed at various locations. The Minister emphasized the political and military leadership’s commitment to this strategic direction, highlighting their dedication to providing all necessary resources to support the armed forces.
Minister Al-Dhaari praised the bravery displayed by members of the Taiz Axis in their fight against the Houthi militia’s aggression. He stressed the importance of enhancing security readiness and tracking down sabotage cells that threaten the peace and stability of the governorate.
The Minister also underscored the need to improve coordination between military units and security agencies. This collaboration aims to pursue lawless elements and protect community peace in Taiz.
In related matters, Minister Al-Dhaari called for intensified efforts in line with the directives from the President of the Presidential Leadership Council, Dr. Rashad Al-Alimi, and Prime Minister Salem Bin Brek. These efforts focus on supporting security agencies in pursuing those involved in the assassination of the late director of the Cleaning and Improvement Fund, Afthan Al-Mashhari, and ensuring they face justice. He commended the apprehension of one of the main suspects in this case.
This meeting reflects the ongoing commitment of Yemen’s leadership to bolster security and stability in the Taiz governorate, ensuring that the armed forces receive the necessary support to continue their vital operations.
