General Staff Chief Visits Southern Frontlines in Marib

Today, General Staff Chief and Joint Operations Commander, Lieutenant General Saghir bin Aziz, conducted a visit to the fighters stationed at the southern frontlines in Marib. This visit underscores the ongoing commitment to support the military efforts in the region.

Celebrating Eid with Military Leaders

Accompanying Lieutenant General bin Aziz were Defense Minister Advisor Major General Rashid Atiq and Chief of Logistics Support Major General Abdulaziz Al-Faqih. During the visit, they exchanged Eid greetings with Major General Mansour Thawabah, the commander of the Third Military Region, as well as with brigade leaders, military units, and resistance leaders. The General Staff Chief conveyed heartfelt Eid wishes from the political leadership, including President Rashad Alimi, members of the Presidential Leadership Council, the Cabinet, and the Minister of Defense, celebrating the occasion of Eid al-Fitr.

Acknowledging Sacrifices and Bravery

Lieutenant General bin Aziz expressed pride in the tremendous sacrifices made by the brave members of the army, security forces, and resistance fighters. He commended their unwavering commitment to defending the republic and national achievements against the Iran-backed Houthi terrorist organization. Their heroic efforts reflect a deep dedication to the homeland.

A Message of Hope and Determination

The General Staff Chief emphasized that victory for the Yemeni people over the Houthi insurgency is within reach. He affirmed that the national and Arab battle fought by all free citizens and active forces will culminate in the restoration of the Yemeni state and the defeat of terrorist militias.

High Morale and Readiness

Lieutenant General bin Aziz praised the high morale and exceptional capabilities of the leaders and fighters. He noted the military’s preparedness and efficiency, which position them well for decisive battles and the establishment of peace and stability for Yemen and its people. He also expressed gratitude for the support from the Saudi-led Coalition, particularly the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, for standing alongside the Yemeni people and their armed forces at various stages of this struggle.

This visit not only highlights the military’s readiness but also reinforces the commitment to achieving lasting peace in Yemen.
