The armed forces announced today that warplanes executed 19 airstrikes in the Marib, Taiz, and Al-Turba fronts in Lahij Governorate. These strikes targeted militia positions, gatherings, and vehicles. Additionally, drone operations carried out 29 sorties aimed at combat sites, vehicles, weapons, and other assets belonging to the militia.
Colonel Majid Al-Nazili, the official spokesperson for the armed forces, stated in a report that field artillery and rocket launchers conducted 944 targeting operations against militia gatherings, reinforcements, artillery positions, fortifications, and sniper locations.
According to preliminary field reports, these operations resulted in neutralizing approximately 267 militia leaders and members, either killed, wounded, or fleeing the battlefield. The armed forces also destroyed or incapacitated 97 of the militia’s combat vehicles and artillery platforms, alongside demolishing several of their sites, fortifications, and artillery positions. Ongoing monitoring and verification efforts aim to finalize the casualty count.
Colonel Al-Nazili emphasized that the brave members of the armed forces from the sixth, seventh, and third military regions, stationed across various fronts, continue to perform their combat duties with efficiency and skill. They actively confront militia movements and target their positions and gatherings.
He remarked, “Our armed forces in Taiz, supported by popular resistance, continue to engage in confrontations and repel militia attacks, targeting their movements and gatherings across several fronts.”
In the northern front and Al-Jawf fronts, our emergency units, along with members of the National Shield Forces, persist in their combat missions. They are clearing areas previously regained during earlier combat operations of mines and making new advances today, while also addressing militia movements and targeting their sites and gatherings.
Colonel Al-Nazili confirmed that the armed forces in the southern and southwestern fronts, alongside the Giants Brigades and national resistance fighters, continue their combat missions. He noted their success in securing several sites in various sectors, while clashes and responses to militia movements persist in other areas.
The armed forces affirmed their commitment to fulfilling their national duty with unwavering determination, while taking necessary precautions to protect civilians and civilian infrastructure.
