President Alimi Connects with Marib Governor to Discuss Local Conditions

In a recent phone call, President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Alimi, head of the Presidential Leadership Council, reached out to Marib Governor Major General Sultan Al-Aradah. The discussion focused on the current situation in Marib, the welfare of its citizens, and coordinated efforts with government agencies to enhance services, boost public revenues, and strengthen security and stability.

Eid al-Adha Greetings and Aspirations for Yemen

During the call, President Alimi extended his heartfelt congratulations to the local leadership, the people of Marib, and the armed forces on the occasion of Eid al-Adha. He expressed his hopes that this significant religious event would bring the Yemeni people, especially the residents of Marib, closer to their aspirations for victory, the restoration of state institutions, security, stability, and development.

Update on Security and Humanitarian Efforts

Governor Al-Aradah provided President Alimi with an overview of the general situation in Marib. He highlighted the local authority’s efforts in security, services, and development, as well as the response to the humanitarian needs of millions of displaced individuals who have found refuge in Marib from the violence of Iranian-backed Houthi militias.

Military Readiness Against Houthi Threats

The governor also briefed the president on the latest security and military developments. He assured him of the readiness of the armed forces to deter Houthi militias and thwart their ongoing attempts to breach the internal front after suffering significant defeats at the gates of fortified Marib.

President Alimi praised the remarkable service and urban development in Marib, despite the siege imposed by terrorist militias for years. He commended the vigilance of the armed forces and security personnel in maintaining public order and countering threats across various fronts.

The president noted the unwavering support from the people of Marib, political parties, civil society organizations, and awareness platforms around the local leadership and state institutions. He emphasized their collective efforts to maintain security and stability while fulfilling constitutional responsibilities toward all citizens and displaced individuals from across the country.

President Alimi reaffirmed the significant national role played by the people and tribes of Marib. He acknowledged their exemplary defense of the republic and commitment to national principles. He expressed full confidence in their awareness and determination to thwart any threats to Marib and its residents, ensuring that their resilient province remains a bastion of steadfastness and a key to imminent victory.
