Al-Mokha, Taiz Governorate – Today, Tarik Saleh, a member of the Presidential Leadership Council, joined local leaders, military officials, and citizens in Al-Mokha to celebrate Eid al-Adha. The event drew a large crowd, highlighting the community’s spirit during this significant religious occasion.
During the Eid prayers, Sheikh Adeeb Khalaf delivered a sermon emphasizing the importance of this holy day in Islam. He described it as one of the most revered days in the Islamic calendar, filled with divine meanings. Khalaf also spoke about the sanctity of Muslim lives, properties, and honor, underscoring the need to respect these values during such important times.
Khalaf did not shy away from discussing the dire humanitarian conditions in areas controlled by the Houthi militia. He pointed out the ongoing violations faced by communities near conflict zones, where criminal groups disregard the sanctity of religious occasions. He asserted that those who commit atrocities against their own people cannot genuinely support Gaza or claim to champion its cause.
The sermon also highlighted the security and stability that Al-Mokha and other liberated areas along the western coast have experienced. Khalaf noted the continuous development in these regions, attributing part of this progress to the educational institution where the Eid prayers took place—the Emirates Educational Complex. This facility stands as a testament to the ongoing efforts to improve community welfare.
Khalaf expressed gratitude for Tarik Saleh’s leadership, acknowledging his commitment to alleviating the burdens faced by the people of the western coast. The community appreciates his dedication to their welfare and development.
In his address, Khalaf also brought attention to the daily atrocities faced by Palestinians at the hands of the Israeli state. He criticized the exploitation of their suffering by Iran and its regional allies, calling for genuine support rather than political opportunism.
As the community celebrated Eid al-Adha, the messages of unity, resilience, and hope resonated strongly, reflecting the spirit of the occasion amidst ongoing challenges.
