A new program in feminist humanitarian and developmental studies has been launched at Aden University.

Launch of a Specialized Program in Feminist Humanitarian and Development Studies at Aden University

Ministers of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Amin Noman, and Agriculture, Irrigation, and Fisheries, Salem Al-Saqtri, along with the President of Aden University, Dr. Al-Khadr Lsour, inaugurated today the specialized executive program in feminist humanitarian and development studies at the Women’s Center for Humanitarian and Development Studies at Aden University.

Emphasizing the Importance of Education

The Minister of Higher Education highlighted the ministry’s commitment to enhancing knowledge and expanding educational and training opportunities. He stated that universities serve as the foundation for any path toward national development and progress, emphasizing that achieving this goal cannot occur outside their walls.

Recognizing Women’s Contributions

The Minister of Agriculture praised the active role of women in society and their growing contributions across various scientific, developmental, and national fields. He stressed the importance of supporting programs that empower women and enhance their scientific and professional capabilities. Furthermore, he pointed out the need for collaboration between academic institutions and government sectors to maximize the benefits of education and specialized programs, thereby increasing women’s participation in development and community service.
