President Alimi Calls for Strict Measures to Secure State Institutions in Hadhramaut

In a decisive move, President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Alimi, the head of the Presidential Leadership Council and Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, has ordered stringent actions to safeguard state institutions and public facilities in Hadhramaut. This directive follows the remarkable success of the National Shield Forces in reclaiming all military and security sites in the province, in coordination with the Saudi-led Coalition to Support Legitimacy.

Emphasis on Protection and Accountability

During communications with Hadhramaut Governor and National Shield Forces Commander Salem Al-Khanbashi, President Alimi stressed the importance of protecting state institutions and citizens’ interests. He called for immediate action against any human rights violations and emphasized accountability for those involved in looting or attacking state facilities.

Community Support for Local Authorities

The President urged the people of Hadhramaut to support local authorities and the National Shield Forces in protecting public institutions and maintaining civil peace. He highlighted the need for community partnership to reinforce the rule of law.

Acknowledgment of Local Authorities’ Efforts

President Alimi praised the responsible role of local authorities in Hadhramaut and commended the swift achievements of the National Shield Forces in securing the region. He noted that this success reflects the discipline and readiness of the forces, contributing to the normalization of conditions and the resumption of services, thereby alleviating citizens’ hardships.

Coordination with Al-Mahra Province

In a separate communication, President Alimi reached out to Al-Mahra Governor Mohammed Ali Yasser to discuss the overall situation in the province. They reviewed the ongoing arrangements for transferring military camps and sovereign facilities to the National Shield Forces and local authorities, ensuring enhanced security and stability.

Support for Dialogue and Stability

The President acknowledged the local authorities in Al-Mahra for their high level of responsibility in managing the current phase. He emphasized the importance of prioritizing dialogue and avoiding any security or humanitarian repercussions. He expressed deep appreciation for the people of Al-Mahra, who have rallied around state institutions, placing the province’s interests and security above all else.

Gratitude for Saudi Support

President Alimi expressed his sincere gratitude to Saudi Arabia for agreeing to host and sponsor a comprehensive dialogue conference on the Southern issue. He praised this responsible gesture, which reflects the Kingdom’s commitment to supporting Yemen’s security and stability through political dialogue.

Call for Unity and Cooperation

In this context, President Alimi urged the Southern Transitional Council to commit to dialogue and retract unilateral actions across various provinces. He warned against exacerbating living conditions or exposing civilians and institutions to additional risks. He called for serious engagement in building state institutions according to the nationally, regionally, and internationally agreed transitional references.

Commitment to Rule of Law

The President reaffirmed the state’s commitment to enforcing the rule of law and protecting citizens. He vowed not to tolerate any actions that undermine public order or threaten the nation’s supreme interests and the security of neighboring countries. He emphasized that this responsibility requires unity and mobilization of all efforts toward restoring state institutions and countering the Houthi militia’s terrorist coup, supported by the Iranian regime.

Conclusion

President Alimi’s directives and calls for community support reflect a strong commitment to restoring stability and security in Hadhramaut and Al-Mahra. His emphasis on accountability, dialogue, and cooperation aims to foster a peaceful environment conducive to rebuilding state institutions and addressing the challenges facing Yemen.
