Minister of Social Affairs Discusses Humanitarian Response with UNFPA

The Minister of Social Affairs and Labor, Mukhtar Al-Yafai, met today in the temporary capital of Aden with Francesco Galiteri, the representative of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA). They explored ways to enhance joint cooperation in social protection and humanitarian response for displaced individuals.

Coordination Mechanisms for Humanitarian Interventions

This collaboration aims to expand humanitarian interventions and improve services for the most vulnerable populations. They also discussed the humanitarian situation in Taiz Governorate and the Al-Sabiah areas in Lahij Governorate, focusing on the needs of displaced and affected families.

Urgent Humanitarian Response Needed

Minister Al-Yafai emphasized the importance of intensifying humanitarian responses for displaced individuals and those affected in Taiz and Al-Sabiah. He called for efforts to deliver aid to residents in besieged areas and to broaden interventions to include displaced families in Aden and Lahij.

Support for Health Facilities
