Global Religious Leaders Condemn Houthi Attacks on Saudi Arabia

Religious leaders from various countries have condemned the repeated terrorist attacks carried out by the Houthi militia against the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. They emphasized that targeting the holy sites and Islamic sanctities, as well as civilian facilities and vital installations, represents a blatant violation of sacredness and poses a direct threat to the safety of civilians, pilgrims, and worshippers.

Over 330 Messages of Condemnation

This condemnation came in over 330 messages and letters received by the Minister of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance in Saudi Arabia, Sheikh Dr. Abdul Latif bin Abdul Aziz Al Sheikh. In these communications, ministers, scholars, and heads of religious institutions expressed their strong disapproval of the hostile attempts aimed at Mecca, Medina, Wadi Al-Mughamis, and civilian facilities.

Call for International Action

The religious leaders urged the international community, the United Nations, and relevant human rights organizations to clearly condemn these attacks and take decisive measures to halt the repeated violations targeting Islamic sanctities, which threaten the security and stability of the region.

Security of Holy Sites is a Red Line

The messages affirmed that the security of the holy sites and the safety of their visitors represent a red line. They stressed that targeting the Kingdom, which hosts the holiest sites for Muslims, constitutes an affront to the feelings of all Muslims.

Support for Saudi Arabia’s Role

The leaders praised the role of Saudi Arabia in serving the holy sites and caring for pilgrims and worshippers. They expressed their full solidarity with the Kingdom in facing the threats and terrorist attacks.

Saudi Arabia’s Leadership in Islam

Islamic leaders highlighted Saudi Arabia’s pioneering role in serving Islam and Muslims, as well as promoting values of moderation and tolerance. They affirmed that these attacks will not diminish the Kingdom’s religious stature or its mission in serving the holy sites.
