Ministry of Defense Opens Registration for Military Academy

The Ministry of Defense, alongside the General Staff, has officially announced the opening of registration for the 54th batch of the Military Academy located in the temporary capital, Aden. This initiative is aimed at strengthening the Yemeni armed forces by attracting dedicated and capable individuals.

Registration Details

The Training and Rehabilitation Authority encourages both military personnel and civilians interested in serving in the armed forces to apply via the electronic registration portal. The registration period is set from April 23, 2026, to May 10, 2026. It is essential for applicants to meet the outlined requirements to qualify for admission.

Admission Criteria

The Training Authority has emphasized that the selection process will follow strict standards to ensure that only qualified candidates are recruited. The following eligibility requirements must be met:

  • Nationality: Applicants must be Yemeni citizens, with both parents holding Yemeni nationality.
  • Education: A high school diploma is required, with a minimum score of 75% in the literary section or 70% in the scientific section.
  • Age:
    • Civilians: Ages 15 to 22
    • Military personnel: Ages 18 to 25
  • Physical Fitness: Candidates must demonstrate excellent physical fitness and have a minimum height of 165 cm.
  • Commitment: A genuine desire to serve in the Yemeni armed forces is required, along with adherence to the Academy’s internal regulations and a non-affiliation with any political party or organization.

Health and Conduct Standards

Applicants must be in good health and free from any medical conditions that could impede their training. Successful completion of all required admission tests and medical examinations is mandatory. Additionally, candidates should possess a good reputation, with no prior convictions for serious crimes that could compromise their moral integrity.

Interested candidates are advised to bring the necessary original documents when applying. This includes 16 personal photographs and two folders for document storage. Accuracy in the submitted information is crucial, and all applicants must adhere to the specified registration deadlines.
