Minister of Information, Culture, and Tourism Speaks Out
Minister Ma’mar Al-Eryani condemned the Houthi militias, backed by the Iranian regime, for committing a heinous crime against childhood in Yemen. The recent incident involved an 11-year-old boy, Abdul Karim Abdullah Abdu, who suffered severe injuries from a sniper’s bullet while walking in the Al-Najd area of Al-Shuqab village, located in the Sabir Al-Mawadim district of Taiz Governorate.
A Disturbing Pattern of Violence
In a press statement, Al-Eryani highlighted that this brutal act occurs at a time when the Houthi militia exploits slogans like "Support Gaza." Meanwhile, they perpetrate horrific crimes against children and women in Yemen daily, all while the international community remains shamefully silent.
Houthi Militias as Tools of Iranian Aggression
The minister emphasized that the Houthi militia has become a dangerous tool for the Iranian regime, executing a destructive agenda that shows no regard for children, women, or the elderly. He asserted that their claims regarding the "Palestinian cause" serve only as a false facade to justify their atrocities against the Yemeni people.
Call for International Action
Al-Eryani renewed his call to the United Kingdom and European Union countries to classify the Houthi militias as a terrorist organization. He urged these nations to stand firmly with the Yemeni people and their legitimate government in their existential battle against this terrorist project.
Warning of Continued Violence
The minister warned that allowing the Houthi militias to operate unchecked would lead to further bloodshed and destruction for the Yemeni population. He stressed that this situation poses a serious threat to regional and international peace and security.
